On Saturday, April 3, Republicans in each of the state's 13 congressional districts caucused and elected 39 delegates, who will go to New York Aug. 30 - Sept. 2 to nominate President George W. Bush for re-election. Alternate delegates were also elected in most districts. Three more spots go aConvention Logoutomatically to party officials, and 27 other delegates will be elected at the party's May 14 - 15 convention in Columbus. The GA delegation will be staying at the Ritz Carlton in Battery Park while in New York City.

At the State Convention on May 15, Linda Herren was elected National Committeewoman to the RNC from Georgia. Alec Poitivent was re-elected National Committeeman to the RNC from Georgia.
