Approximately 300 Republicans attended this debate.

Four candidates for Georgia Governor answer questions moderated by WGST’s John Clark.

Nathan Deal former 9th District Congressman. Members of the audience were allowed to submit questions prior to the debate.
 

Above candidates answered a number of questions dealing with water problems, health care reform, tax reform and the Fair Tax, education and school choice, improving Georgia transportation, state’s rights and enforcing laws against illegal immigration, appointment of state’s commissioners and secretaries instead of electing them, standing up to Roy Barnes and President Obama on issues,  etc.

1. Julianne Thompson of Gwinnett County welcomes the crowd to the debate and explains the format of the evening. She introduces WGST’s John Clark who will moderate the event. 2. The room was filled with Republicans eager to hear their candidates.  Digital and video cameras were every where!  3. The Deal Team is ready with brochures and stickers. 5. Buzz Brockway and Chuck Efstration, former Chairmen of the Gwinnett GOP.  Buzz is now running for
State House Seat of Retiring Rep. Mike Coan, District 101.  Chuck is running for CD 7 seat to replace retiring Rep. John Linder. Eight candidates are running for this office. See list. Remember to vote in Republican primary on July 20, 2010 --  runoffs will be on August 10, 2010.  The 9th district will be voting on June 8 in runoff for 9 CD and then again on July 20. General election is November 2.
