February 25 - 25, 2012
Republican Women from across the state of Georgia came to the GFRW Winter Board meeting in Alpharetta which started with some very interesting workshops on Friday afternoon. On Friday evening there was a fun filled gathering of the Reagan Club at 6 p.m. Following this event GFRW treated the women to a delicious Mardi Gras buffet complete with New Orleans style cuisine, Mardi Gras decorations and many colorful beads, music and dancing.
The board of directors meeting convened on Saturday morning highlighted by popular keynote speaker Heath Garret, attorney and political strategist.
At 12:30 members and guests enjoyed a luncheon where Sue Everhart, Chairman of the GA GOP, gave an energizing keynote speech. Reps from the Fox News Greta Van Susteren show were there for part of this event. Sue distributed little parchment slips with one of Margaret Thatcher's famous quotes: "In politics, if you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman." -- Margaret Thatcher
