Thanks to the awesome efforts of Linda Williams who masterminded the décor of the bake sale table, and the efforts of super saleswomen, Carol Field and Prisca Villa to make the GGRW Bake Sale a complete success.

GGRW Treasurer Sara Snyder is Division 02 Staff Officer, Public Education
Flotilla 02-09 Staff Officer, Public Education - U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. She is on
NFRW/GFRW Homeland Security Committee and is Chair of that GFRW Committee.
 

GGRW VP Vanessa Green received the Gwinnett GOP Volunteer of the Year award for 2012. In addition to being one of the top three phone bankers, Vanessa helped out at  outreach events and was a regular fixture at meetings.
 
GGRW C. Secretary and webmaster Bettye Chambers is a Regent in NFRW. She also serves as Chairman of the NFRW Website Assistance Committee. She has built and maintained many Republican websites
 

Congratulations to Rachel Little (GGRW Member) who was elected Chairman of the Gwinnett Republican Party at the county convention on March 9, 2013.
Congratulations, also, to Mary Adamski who was elected Gwinnett GOP 2nd Vice Chairman.

Rose Wing, Georgia Federation of Republican Women President, will be the guest speaker at our June meeting at the Uptown Grille in Suwanee.  This was formerly the Olde Towne Tavern. Please mark your calendar for this one.
 
▪ May 13 Meeting
We shared the evening with a college republican woman and a recent graduate on their experiences as young Republicans at GA Tech. They shared many interesting experiences including what it was like being a Republican minority in their sorority and their experiences reaching out to members of other parties. Charlotte Nash,
Chairman of the Gwinnett Board of Commissioners, spoke at the GGRW April 8 meeting and gave a most informative update from the BOC. She shared how her childhood experiences and upbringing gave her the skills and confidence to succeed.

GGRW presented Charlotte with a beautiful floral bouquet in appreciation of all that she has done for Gwinnett County.

Carolyn Fisher is a new member of GGRW. She is running for second vice chair in the 7th district and spoke for a few minutes after Charlotte.

Senator Renee Unterman spoke at the February 11 meeting. and gave an interesting and informative  update from the 2013 GA Senate.

In keeping with GGRW's theme for 2013 (Women making a difference), Sue  reflected on the challenges met and conquered during her three terms as the first female Chairman of the GA GOP. Her advice to Republican women was most valuable and very much appreciated.
